Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student: - possesses in-depth knowledges of empirical educational research on the themes of social disadvantage; - analyzes contexts and educational needs in order to design educational intervention projects; - designs, at all steps, an educational project for groups of users with social discomfort; - defines ways, tools and resources to carry out educational and networking projects with the territorial services; - analyzes the contribution of empirical research in the field of social design in order to define problems and hypotheses of educational and training intervention; - analyzes and evaluates, through appropriate tools, the processes and results of social assistance projects; - manages projects funded by different entities by promoting the necessary project collaboration between different professionals; - documents the results of empirical research with sufficient mastery of specific terminology; - analyzes and compares empirical research data in education and training, also in order to promote self-updating.

Teaching methods

In addition to frontal lessons, group work is envisaged that will allow students to apply concepts and tools related to the design and evaluation steps of educational interventions.

Assessment methods

Innovative and experiential paht:

- Short Essay (2 questions), 60% of Final Mark.

- Gruop's Project work, 40% of Final Mark.

Traditional path:

- Short Essay (3 questions + 1 practical question), 100% of Final Mark.
