Please refer to the Syllabus published on "Virtual" for detailed information on course content and readings for the exams.

Teaching methods

The course will have a highly interactive and participatory approach and will include activities of critical discussion of texts, exercises and group work. Guest lecturers will be invited to lecture.
Constant and active participation is strongly recommended. However, those who cannot actively participate can still take the examination as non-attendees with a slightly different syllabus.

Assessment methods

The exam aims to ascertain the achievement of the following learning objectives:
1. in-depth knowledge of the topics illustrated during the lectures and/or learned through the readings
2. ability to critically elaborate on these themes
3. ability to apply the topics learned to concrete contexts in the educational field
4. ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
5. ability to work collaboratively in a group.

Examination methods
Pedagogy (1): open-ended structured written test (or, for attendees students only, a choice between oral and written)
Pedagogy (2): Oral examination
For those attending the entire integrated course (12 CFU), it is possible to take an intermediate exam. Passing this exam enables the syllabus for the final exam to be halved. Alternatively, it is always possible to take a single oral final examination.

Assessment criteria:
The oral test aims to verify the student's ability to apply the knowledge learnt and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections.

In particular, the following will be assessed in increasing order of importance
1. the completeness of knowledge in connection with the topics addressed in the course and/or in the readings;
2. the personal ability to apply the topics learned to concrete cases
3. The ability to think critically and independently based on an understanding of the topics addressed
4. the appropriateness of language
5. the ability to engage in interdisciplinary reflection.
