Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the student possesses knowledge of how to take care of the person with oncological pathology from a holistic point of view, in relation to oncological care pathways, organizational models and its management in relation to services and professions in the area.

Course contents

  • The nursing care of the onco-hematologic patient
  • The management of peripheral and central venous accesses in chemotherapy administration
  • Principles of communication with the oncology patient
  • The role of the nurse in onco-hematologic clinical research
  • Management of the adverse event in the administration of antiblastics
  • Organizational models in the onco-hematology setting
  • Basics of clinical research and nursing practice
  • Principles of pediatric oncology and pediatric palliative care
