Learning outcomes
At the end of the module, the student will be familiar with basic computer tools for managing data sets; they will be able to process data derived from instrumental measurements and statistical sampling.
Course contents

Calculation processing programs (Excel): concept of cell and spreadsheet, table creation, creation of charts (histogram, pie, and xy correlation), and introduction to the use of functions (average, median, percentage, standard error, logical functions); practical exercises.

Presentation programs (PowerPoint): basic information for using PowerPoint, presentation design; visual aspect of the presentation; texts.

Word processing programs: Word, main commands; basic knowledge of formatting and structure of a document; review tool.

Management of digital image formats: introduction to digital images.
Teaching methods
Theoretical frontal lessons and practical exercises through the use of personal computers and Office suite programs
Assessment methods
Submission of a written assignment and practical test carried out during the exam
