Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student develops diagnostic reasoning skills, clinical reasoning, critical thinking and develops methodological skills related to care planning with particular reference to highly complex situations. Apply the acquired knowledge related to technical, relational and educational skills. He is able to identify critical areas on which to hypothesize nursing research projects. The activity develops in correlation to the internship path and to the contents.
Course contents
MODULE 1: ASSISTANCE TO THE PERSON WITH POLITRAUMA
Theoretical principles of basic and advanced traumatology, principles of immobilization and aids
MODULE 2: ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS WITH CARDIOVASCULAR PROBLEMS
Notes on the electrical conduction system of the heart. Read and recognize the main alterations of the ECG tracing.
MODULE 3: PERSONAL ASSISTANCE WITH NON-INVASIVE VENTILATION
Manage the patient in NIV, clinical and multiparametric monitoring, recognize the main complications, manage the BPAP and CPAP systems; EGA reading and interpretation
MODULE 3: PERSONAL ASSISTANCE WITH INVASIVE VENTILATION
Manage the ventilator, multi-parameter monitoring, recognize the main complications
MODULE 4: ASSISTANCE TO THE PERSON WITH SEPSIS
Develop skills in planning and managing care of people with sepsis
MODULE 5: EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
Implement relational and communication skills, conflict and emotion management
MODULE 5: THERAPEUTIC EDUCATION, SELF-CARE
Identify the person's potential and resources to improve their self-care, enhance empowerment
MODULE 5: THE MANAGEMENT OF LOVE
Develop relational and communication skills to assist the patient with a poor prognosis and his family, facilitate the mourning process
MODULE 5: THE MANAGEMENT OF THE AGGRESSIVE PATIENT
Acquire strategies and tools to communicate effectively in various situations of high conflict; promote patient and operator safety.
