Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student: - knows and knows how to treat the burn disease and its outcomes; - knows and knows how to treat malformations of the extreme cephalic both under the functional and aesthetic; - acquired some application concepts related to plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Course contents

PLASTIC SURGERY TEACHING PROGRAM:

Basic principles and techniques in reconstructive plastic surgery -Sutures, grafts, flaps –

Microsurgery.

Physiopathology burns, diagnosis and therapy.

Malformative pathology of the face, breast, limbs: diagnostic classification and treatment principles.

Radical oncology radicality and reparative methodology.

Post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.

Traumatology

Regenerative medicine and surgery in plastic surgery - Autologous adipose tissue transplantation

Principles of Aesthetic Surgery -

Patient medical relationship in the treatment of Dysmorphopathies and Psychomorphological aspects.

Teaching methods

The course will consist of 8 hours of lectures, held in the Chiantore classroom (A) and Viola classroom (B)
Specific iconography will be projected to support the theoretical foundations.

Assessment methods

The final exam aims to evaluate the achievement of the teaching objectives reported in the program and is divided into quizzes or oral tests at the discretion of the student.

The written test consists of 31 multiple choice tests, 13 (8 exact) of Dermatology, 13 (8 exact) of Infectious Diseases and 5 (3 exact) of Plastic Surgery. The oral exam is an average of the marks obtained in the three different subjects that make up the teaching unit.

Teaching tools

Frontal lessons, Projection of slides, attendance through practical training, suggested book texts.
