Learning outcomes
At the end of the lessons, the student develops diagnostic reasoning skills, clinical reasoning and develops methodological skills related to care planning. Apply the acquired knowledge related to technical, relational and educational skills. Develop therapeutic education projects. The activity develops in correlation to the internship path and to the contents.
Course contents
- Assistance to the person undergoing: thoracentesis, paracentesis and lumbar puncture
- Assistance to the person with plaster casts, bandages and bandages
- Assistance to the person undergoing arthrocentesis
- Assistance to the person with respiratory ostomy
- Assistance to the person with intestinal and urinary stomas
- Personal assistance with abdominal and thoracic drainage
- Personal assistance with central venous access, lines and infusion pumps
- Management of adult and pediatric drug therapy: dosages

Oral/written test:
Resolution of a micro-clinical case (identification of priority diagnoses)
Draw of a procedure or drug dosage calculation and drug dilutions for infusion therapy
Calculations are provided for dosages and dilutions of drugs for infusion therapy.
Together with in-depth seminars 1, it constitutes the Integrated Laboratory Course 2 and suitability implies the positive outcome of both tests.
Teaching tools
Use of video projection, exercise with the aid of dummies/simulators, supervised/health devices.
