Learning outcomes

At the end of the activity the student will have acquired the typical skills of the analytical processes envisaged by the theoretical / practical typology typical of laboratory activities.

Course contents

The program will be developed on the rules on the protection of health and safety in the workplace, with particular reference to the activity of the Biomedical Laboratory Technician.

The following macro topics will be explored:

1. D.Lgs 81/08: profiles of responsibility, general protection measures.

2. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and DPC (Collective Protective Equipment).

3. Fire prevention, Emergency Management, Earthquake and Flooding.

4. Use of Equipment, Exposure to VDT.

5. Workplaces and Air Quality, Microclimate, Lighting, Noise, Electrical Hazard, Safety Signs, Handling of Loads.

6. The REACH and CLP Regulations; Exposure to chemical, carcinogenic and mutagenic agents, cryogenic liquids, antiblastic drugs, pressurized equipment.

7. Exposure to biological agents; SARS-CoV-2 virus: security measures for contrast and containment.

8. Notes on Work-Related Stress.

9. Notes on Waste Disposal.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons.

In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires the performance of all the students of Modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode [https://www.unibo.it/it/servizi-e-opportunita/salute-e-assistenza/salute-e-sicurezza/sicurezza-e-salute-nei-luoghi-di-studio-e-tirocinio] and participation in Module 3 of specific training on safety and health in the places of study. Information on dates and methods of attendance of Module 3 can be consulted in the specific section of the degree program website.

The teaching participates in the University's educational innovation project.

 

Assessment methods

The eligibility check will be carried out with an oral exam.
