Teaching methods

Teaching methods Interactive lessons in small groups through simulations and exercises using mannequins and/or actors and medical aids. Division of students into groups and subgroups. Arrangement of workstations specially equipped to reconstruct specific care contexts, managed by a didactic tutor and/or expert clinical professional and peer educator. Before the start of each activity, the 1st year student who attends the Professional Laboratory 1 activity must pass a knowledge learning test relating to the subject covered in the Laboratory. The student who does not pass the aforementioned test must report to the aptitude test with an educational debt to be remedied before the beginning of the aptitude test. Each student must participate in all scheduled care activities. Attendance is compulsory (100%) and is documented with the collection of signatures. The obligatory recovery of any absences, which in any case cannot exceed 20%, are agreed with the professor in charge of the course.

Assessment methods

Methods of verifying and evaluating learning The assessment of learning takes place at the end of the 30 hours of Professional Laboratory 1. This assessment/suitability is preparatory to entry into the traineeship. The student will have to illustrate the drawn procedure (among the 19 foreseen) to the Commission composed of 2 Teaching Tutors. Each procedure must be explained exhaustively: definition, responsibility, purpose and indications, preparation and evaluation of the person, necessary resources, phases of the procedure, assistance to the person, risks and complications, registration / documentation. The maximum exposure time is 20 minutes. Eligibility will be attributed when the student illustrates the procedure and correctly explains the essential contents (LAP: Acceptable Performance Levels) demonstrating clinical reasoning skills. Two tests per exam session are guaranteed.
