Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student knows the methods and obligations necessary for the management of an orthopedic company, the professional ethics and the risks connected to the poor practice of the profession; he also knows his professional role carried out within public or private structures employed or self-employed.

  • Preparatory: alignment of basic knowledge.
  • Position of the Orthopedic Technician. Deontology and professional ethics: the code of ethics of the orthopedic technician.
  • Notes on health and safety in the workplace: Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
  • Notes on ergonomics.
  • Professional risk analysis.
  • Elements of professional time management.
  • Notes on effective communication.
  • Taking charge: relationship with the patient and other professionals.
  • Essential levels of assistance and tariff nomenclature.
  • Elements on the subject of economics
  • Elements of marketing and competitive context.
  • Business management: opening procedures and obligations for carrying out the professional activity.
  • Case studies and exercises.
