PEDIATRIC NEUROPHYSIOPATHOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES

  • Introduction to the course
  • TNFP skills in the pediatric field
  • Stimuli, stimulators, EEG/PE recording techniques
  • Analysis of physiological and pathological EEG graphelements of the pediatric age, including unusual graphelements
  • Analysis of the main artefacts that can occur in the EEG in pediatric and neonatal settings

NEWBORN EEG RECORDING TECHNIQUES

  • Physiological neonatal EEG. Electroencephalographic development from prematurity to neonatal age
  • Pathological EEG in neonatal settings.

CLASSIFICATION OF EPILEPTIC SEIZURES

  • Brief introduction to the topic of "epilepsy" 
  • Notes on the history of the international classifications of epilepsies and epileptic seizures

Oral exam focusing on the reading and understanding of a pediatric/neonatal EEG trace, detection of artefacts and technical problems. Application method of SEP in the neuropediatrics  and  management of the neuropediatric patient in the context of neurophysiological examinations
