Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student acquires the basic knowledge of surgical pathology and histopathology of neoplastic and non neoplastic diseases
Course contents
Applications of basic histopathology techniques to diagnostics.
Pathologic bases of inflammatory and infectious diseases
Precancer lesions and cancer.
Cancer grade and stage.
Focus on malignant epithelial tumors: lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colo-rectal cancer, melanoma, brain tumors.
Focus on mesenchymal tumors: bone tumors, soft tissue sarcomas
