Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has a conceptual and practical preparation to carry out the observation and monitoring of the oral cavity. He/she is also able to recognize and use the instruments necessary for the patient's visit in relation to the tasks of Dental Hygienist. In particular, the student is able to: - Observe the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity including the lips and perioral areas and recognize their anatomy and health. - Recognize and know how to correctly use the instruments necessary for the intraoral visit. - Know and be able to detect the main clinical indices. - Recognize and know how to correctly use the instruments necessary for the detection of the main parameters relating to health and dento-gingival pathology. - Know the times and procedures indicated for patient monitoring. Know and know how to compile the medical record of competence of the dental hygienist.
