Learning outcomes

AT the end of the course the students will acquire the ability to recognize the pathologies of temporomandibular disorders (TMD)in the complex painful orofacial symptoms. As well as addressing and solving moderately complex interdisciplinary clinical cases in relation to gnathological problems

Course contents

Orofacial pain and the differential diagnosis of the various pathologies will be treated.

CD/TMD

treatment of temporomandibular disorders :

myofascial pain

temporomandibular joint pathologies: meniscal condyle incoordination with and without reduction; inflammatory joint pathologies.

The conservative medical approach incorporates many noninvasive modalities as well as many self-management strategies

behavioral therapy

physiotherapy

stabilization splints

 pharmacology
