Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has a preparation that allows to recognize the clinical signs of diseases of the oral cavity, to then formulate a diagnosis and a prosthetic treatment plan with removable and mobile prosthesis. He is also able to perform temporary and definitive prosthetic therapy aimed at restoring the masticatory function. In particular, the student is able to: know the normal anatomy of the temporomandibular join; know the materials for temporary mobile rehabilitations and removable; Know the materials for definitive mobile and removable rehabilitation; Know the stages of dental technician processing; Know the steps of the tests of the prosthetic product; Know the adaptation phases of the provisional and definitive artifact; Know the procedures for follow-up of prosthetic rehabilitation.

Course contents

The first prosthodontic visit and the treatment plan; aesthetic analysis; indirect anterior restorations: classification, indications and principles of preparation; indirect posterior restorations: classification, indications and principles of preparation; the analog vs digital dental impression; fixed prosthesis materials; the provisional restoration; adhesive cementation.
