Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will have a preparation that allows them to recognize the clinical signs of periodontal diseases, formulate a diagnosis and make a prognostic judgement. He must also be able to carry out etiological therapy aimed at eliminating the causes of periodontal diseases. In particular, the student is able to: know the normal anatomy of periodontal tissues; know the etiological factors of periodontal diseases; know periodontal microbiology; know the pathogenetic mechanisms of periodontal diseases; recognize the clinical signs of periodontal diseases; perform a differential diagnosis between periodontal diseases; know the instruments necessary to carry out non-surgical etiological therapy; know the role of antibiotics and antiseptics in periodontal therapy; carry out non-surgical etiological therapy
