Learning outcomes
The student knows the principles of language service provision in the field of translation of legal, financial and accounting texts belonging to different genres and in different language combinations; s/he is able to implement the main language service provision standards in professional settings.
Course contents
The seminars and the workshop will focus on issues linked to the translation of legal texts (contracts, jurisdictional measures) and of financial and accounting texts where the legal element is tranversal.
The followiing aspects will be addressed: terminology, textual types, translations methodologies in the field of legal and financial translation; basic accounting principles and the related workshop in 3 languages (IT/EN/FR); legal translation workshop in 3 languages (IT/DE/FR).

Teaching tools
Both lectures and workshops will take place in computer labs equipped with PCs and projectors. There will be substantial hands-on practice in translation, using CAT tools and revision tasks. Students will be allowed to use monolingual and bilingual dictionaries, as well as online dictionaries, and comparable and aligned corpora. Slides will be used in lectures and then subsequently made available via the Moodle e-learning platform (http://moodle.sslmit.unibo.it/course/view.php?id=734), in Power Point format.
