Teaching methods

The lessons will be held according to the teaching based on Problem Based Learning.

Problem-Based Learning poses a problem for students to face in order to put them in a position to build original solutions. For this purpose, once they have viewed the reference slides, they will be placed in front of a clinical case and from this they will have to analyze its elements, conceive and select the best solution hypotheses, acquire new knowledge in the course of collaborative activities, organize them, produce an answer to the initial problem and at the end of it, reflect on the path taken.

The adoption of this modality also allows students to activate divergent thought forms, such as intuition and invention located at the highest levels of Bloom's taxonomy of cognitive objectives.

At the same time, however, it also requires acquiring and exercising the forms of thought located at the initial and intermediate levels of the same taxonomy, such as knowledge, understanding and application.

This path includes some steps:

• Identify the problem
• Explore pre-existing knowledge
• Generate hypotheses and possible solutions
• Identify learning problems
• Autonomous Study
• Re-evaluation and application of new knowledge to the solution of the problem
• Evaluation and reflection on learning.

The lessons will be further supported by the practice of physiotherapy techniques applied in sports such as Bloom's neuromuscular taping, Trigger Points, body awareness techniques.

Assessment methods

The test is assessed through a eligibility judgment.

The student's assessment of teaching ascertains the acquisition of the knowledge and skills transmitted through the performance of an oral test lasting an average of 30 'in which the student is presented with a clinical case, affected by sports pathology, in a given phase of the rehabilitation course.

The presentation of the case will take into account:

- theoretical knowledge of the pathology presented;

- the clinical reasoning of the student;

- therapeutic goals;

- the therapeutic proposals relevant to the rehabilitation phase
