Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding to implement independently: 1) the basic care techniques learned in theory according to the principles of midwifery in the obstetric, gynecological and neonatal fields; 2) the ability to listen and communicate; 3) the ability to establish relationships within the care team.

Course contents

The professional internship is a fundamental training method to develop professional skills, diagnostic reasoning, critical thinking; it is preceded by a preparatory phase in the teaching room "internship map" and in the exercise room held by the director of the Cdl and in collaboration with the staff / tutor operating in the AUSL structures and subsequently supplemented by guided tours at the U.O internship sites.

The internship of the first year of the course is oriented to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, behaviors aimed in particular at the provision of basic assistance, for the satisfaction of the basic needs of the assisted person. During each internship experience the student is supported by a tutor.In order to be admitted to the internship exam, in addition to the completion of the amount, the student must have achieved sufficiency in all the objectives set by the clinical learning path of the course year

Assessment methods

The exam consists of a practical test aimed at verifying the achievement of the objectives of the course year.

In evaluating the candidate, the commission will pay particular attention to assessing the acquisition of an appropriate technical-scientific language
