Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student knows the specific regulations on workplace safety applicable on construction sites, the organization and management of safety, the identification of risk factors for the health and safety of workers and the prevention measures and collective and individual protection applicable to the construction sector.

Course contents

I Module
The main risk factors for health and safety at work in the construction sector in the various operating phases.
Title IV of Legislative Decree 81/08 - The organization of safety on construction sites. Scope and definitions.

II Module

Title IV of Legislative Decree 81/08 - The obligations and responsibilities of the construction site personnel in the field of health and safety at work.

III Module
The tools for planning and managing safety on construction sites (Safety and Coordination Plan, Operational Safety Plan and the Work Dossier).

IV Module
Types of building works, organization and construction of the construction site.
Risks and safety measures in excavation works.
Risks and safety measures in demolition works.

V Module

The main equipment used in the construction sector as collective protection measures against the risks of falling from a height

VI Module

Metal scaffolding (types, characteristics, installation documentation and safe use)

VII Module
The individual protection systems against falls from a height used in work at height: safety harnesses and anchoring devices.

VIII Module
The equipment and main machines used on construction sites. Material lifting equipment and people.

IX Module
The electrical risk and the technical-plant requirements of the construction site electrical systems.
