Learning outcomes

At the end of the teaching the student must possess knowledge and skills that extend and strengthen the contents and theoretical interpretative models of nursing and midwifery sciences acquired in the first cycle in relation to the principles of general and social pedagogy.

Course contents

The course will focus on the following topics:

- the contribution of pedagogy and educational science to the care professions

- interpersonal communication in care settings and between colleagues: the coordinates for effective communication,

- the dynamics in the working groups and management of problematic aspects, and

- conflict management and resolution strategies.

Readings/Bibliography

At the beginning of the course, didactic materials and bibliographical indications will be distributed which will be the basis for the preparation of the exam. The teacher will also provide handouts to facilitate the study.

Teaching methods

In addition to the lectures, there will be some practical exercises, case studies and group work involving the active participation of the students.
