Learning outcomes
The course is aimed to understand and apply the factors behind the quantitative and qualitative aspects of agricultural production; the defense of soil fertility and the protection and enhancement of natural resources; the design, management and evaluation of crop system and ecological and environmental recovery; the use of crop residues, the development of tools for sustainable management and evaluation of the agro-ecosystem and production chains.
Course contents
Contents: main biomass and oil crops for energy use or for biorefineries, pedoclimatic needs and cultivation systems with low environmental impact.
Skills acquired: the student knows the general agronomic aspects of biomass and oil crops, the agronomic advantages and the main critical points that limit the development of innovative agricultural systems. Recognition of the main biomass and oil species. Filed visit to the experimental farm of Cadriano.Readings/Bibliography
