Learning outcomes

  • Knowledge and understanding:the student must show to learn about the legal aspects of victim of violence
  • Competence in being able to analyze the socio-demographic data pertaining to the national, European and global level.
  • knowledge and understanding applied:the student must be able to properly frame the types of violence in relation also to the social, cultural, family, relational violence victims.
  • Making judgments: the student must show that it can integrate knowledge an handle complexity of situations.
  • Ability to learn:the student must develop learning skills that enable them to study independently and profitable.

Course contents

Violence against women is one of the forms of human rights violations more severe and widespread in the world. It's about women of all social strata, it exists in all countries, across all cultures, classes, races, levels of education, income and all age groups.


Over 90% of women do not report the violence for fear.


In particular, this elective course, which is multidisciplinary, aims to acquaint the student with the complexity of the phenomenon and from the point of view of the various professionals involved in treatment and in reception of victims of violence.

Assessment methods

The assessment of learning is through of an oral examination. 


The aim of the oral test is to verify the student's ability to apply his or her knowledge and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections.


Grading of the final grade:


Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical ability that emerges only with the help of the teacher, expression in overall correct language → 18-19;
Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to analyse independently only on purely executive issues, expression in correct language → 20-24;
Preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;
Substantially comprehensive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and linking, full command of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflect → 30-30L.
