Learning outcomes
At the end of the course by a theoretical and practical training, the student will possess the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to conduct on-site regional and general anesthesia on pets, on non-conventional and most common of the wild ones (in the territory), necessary for minor and mayor surgery and clinical procedures. The Student will have the necessary skills to use the basic equipment for anesthesia monitoring care and expertise to address the most frequent states of emergency and to implement the practices of resuscitation anesthesiology.
Course contents
General considerations, patient monitoring and clinical measurement; introduction to general anaesthesia, priciples of sedation, analgesia and premedication; general pharmacology of intravenous and inhalation anaesthetic agents; relaxion of the skeletal muscles during anaesthesia, oro-tracheal intubation of different species; artificial vetilation of the lungs, apparatus for the admoinistration of anaesthetics. General principles of local analgesia and anaesthesia. Local anasthesias of different species. Anaesthesia of species.

Teaching methods
The student has in advance of the lecture on the topics of the program. During the academic lessons arguments are exposed in depth and interactive, agreeing actions and clarification requests. During the exercises the topics covered are repeated in practice during the activities of the operating room.

The verification is done in a conversational method during practice lessons and during the oral exam and practical exam sessions
