Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student has the knowledge related to the epidemiological aspects, to the methods and models of intervention for health promotion, health education to the individual and to the community.

Course contents

The course aims to provide students with the knowledge related to preventive and community nursing, the theoretical reference models and the concepts of education, prevention, integration with the person, the family and the reference community.

The course aims to:

  • develop the concept of health and prevention;
  • examine international and national health documents;
  • analyze the health needs of the community;
  • identify the objectives and strategies of primary health care and legislative references;
  • promote the educational function of the nurse.
