Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student will have the knowledge related to taking charge of the child and his family in the context of health problems of the mother-child area, with particular regard to preventive and educational aspects. It identifies, plans and evaluates the interventions and assists with the other professional figures in the diagnostic-therapeutic paths and in the educational projects.
Course contents
At the end of the course the student will know:
- how to define the elements of the relational, educational and technical area for the assistance to the person / couple / family that present needs and problems related to the reproductive and sexual sphere
- how to plan nursing care for women with obstetric gynecological problems in hospital and territorial operational realities
- how to identify the areas of intervention of the nurse within the multidisciplinary team with particular reference to the collaboration with the obstetric figure
- the essential elements of pregnancy and childbirth
- the most frequent obstetric gynecological pathologies
- how to plan and carry out preventive, curative and rehabilitative interventions in relation to the nursing problems of the person suffering from obstetric gynecological pathologies in autonomy and collaboration with other professional figures
- how to define the main stages of growth and relational cognitive development of the child
- how to define the main pathologies in the pediatric area
- how to establish a positive relationship with the child and parents
- how to to define the main nursing implications in the administration of therapy in pediatric age
- how to plan and carry out curative and rehabilitative preventive interventions in relation to the most complex care problems encountered in the pediatric age
- how to describe the peculiarities of the care process in the maternal and child area
