Learning outcomes
Identify the anatomical structures and topographical location of the genitourinary and reproductive systems through human corpse dissection.
Course contents
At the end of the course the student is able to describe human macroscopic anatomy and topography of the urogenital system. Moreover the student is able to make recognition and diagnosis of organs of the microscopic peparations of the various parts of the urogenital structures.

GRAY'S ANATOMY. ElsevierTeaching methods
Macroscopic Anatomy. The teachers will be always present during laboratories, guiding students in learning anatomy, helping them using proper instruments and anatomical models.
In Dissecting Room the students will examine anatomical preparations on cadavers, under the guide of teachers and tutors.
Microscopic Anatomy. The teacher, after the explanation of the microscopic characteristics of organs, will guide the students in the observation at the microscope.
Attendance to learning activities is mandatory; the minimum attendance requirement to be admitted to the final exam is 66% of lessons. For Integrated Courses (IC), the 66% attendance requirement refers to the total amount of I.C. lessons. Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement will not be admitted to the final exam of the course, and will have to attend relevant classes again during the next academic year.
Professors may authorise excused absences upon receipt of proper justifying documentation, in case of illness or serious reasons. Excused absences do not count against a student’s attendance record to determine their minimum attendance requirement.
Assessment methods
The final test will be divided in two modules:
1 Physiology module: two essay questions (written test).
2 Anatomy module + Laboratory: Oral interview (few days after the first module).
Teaching tools
Lecture using computer presentations, laboratory dissection, models and computer programs
