Learning outcomes

Students learn and are able to use interpreting techniques between German and Italian in a number of technical/specialised topics.

Course contents

The course "Specialised Interpreting" from and into Italian and German is part of the Integrated Course of Interpreting between German and Italian II. The course lasts 48 hours and will take place during the 2nd semester. It aims at deepening the practical and theoretical knowledge of interpreting in macro-areas of law, with special reference to the fight against organised crime in all it forms.

Teaching methods

The course is monotehematic and in both directions (German/Italian/German). It lasts 48 hours and aims at deepening the practical and theoretical knowledge of interpreting in macro-areas of law, with special reference to the fight against organised crime in all it forms.

Different kinds of activity will be carried out, from simultaenous interpreting to consecutive interpreting, to extemporaneous translation and liason interpreting

Assessment methods

No separate exams are envisaged. The assessement of the aquired knowledges will take place within the frame of the regular exams.

Teaching tools

Texts used during the lessons will be handed out; students will have to write a glossary
