Learning outcomes
The student, through the laboratory develops skills in reference to the data sources and their local and regional level processing. He knows how to collect, organize and analyze complex information, and to present the results in written and oral form.

Characteristics and types of spatial analysis
Indicators for the territorial statistical analysis: definitions, calculation and representation
The meta-information for spatial analysis
Sources of national and international data
Availability and access to databases via the Internet
How to use the main sources national data base (Istat and Bank of Italy) and international database (Eurostat, OECD, IMF, World Bank)

Lectures
During the course will be presented case studies, aimed to apply the various methodological aspects to specific date-sets
Assessment methods
Written report on a case study and interview.
