Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student should have the knowledge and skills to understand the work processes of healthcare organizations, strategies, personnel management, systems evaluation and accreditation of professional services in order to promote the integration of nursing teams obstetricians and with other professionals to achieve performance for safe, effective, efficient, relevant, sensitive to the culture, documented appropriately and provided by competent staff.

Definition of Nursing Management and organizational skills necessary
Elements of organization.
Conceptual models and theories
Elements of knowledge of the organizational context nurses: population aging nursing, nurses multigenerational, turn over.
Elements of knowledge of the health context: reorganization of hospitals, intermediate care.
Organizational models of nursing care: the experience of magnet hospitals, staffing and quality of care, patient classification systems
Features and organizational models of nursing service
Analysis of the organization departmental
The instruments for the project applied to projects of nursing
The management of nursing resources
     The planning of staffing needs for assistance
    The recruitment and management
     The evaluation and reward systems

Assessment methods

Mode integrated examination: Prof. Taddia, Prof. Longo; Prof. Sist, Prof. Cioni, Prof. Lavalle.
The exam includes:
- The writing of a critical review of an article chosen by the learner on the issues. The focus of the article must be consistent with the programs of Prof. Sist and Prof. Taddia and must describe research paths or revisions. Deliver eight days before the holding dell'esame-
- The drafting of a work written by Prof Cioni
- Oral exam: presentation of the work done
- An oral exam on the topics covered by the teachers
- A practical test carried out in 30 minutes on topics Prof Longo
