Learning outcomes
This course aims to provide knowledge of the archeoligical material of printed books and description techniques also based on ancient technologies (paper, types and so on). At the end of the cours, students know the main problems of the history of printing, particularly with regard to manual one (XVth-XIXth) and become able to assess the conservation needs and description of printed books as well as to determine the appriximate dates of old editions.
