Learning outcomes
The Elective Course represents an opportunity for deepening of topics of proctology that, though they are very popular and frequently reflected in daily clinical practice, are not covered if not marginally during the lessons about the fundamental education.
Course contents
Anatomy and physiology of the anal canal. Proctological semeiotics.
Obstructed defecation syndrome.
Imaging. Functional diagnostics.
Abscesses and perianal idiopathic fistulas. Perianal Crohn's Disease.
Hidradenitis. Anovaginal and rectovaginal fistulas.
Anal Incontinence. Haemorrhoids.
Anal Fissures. Anal carcinoma.
