Course contents

The course will be divided into the following macro-sections, to be declined for every of the countries taken into exam:    
- historical framework;   
- electoral system and voting behaviour;    
- the process of democratization;    
- economic development (and analysis of the "developmental model");    
- foreign policy and security issues;    
- regionalism and "asiatic values".

Teaching methods

Lectures and plenum discussion. It is fundamental to study the required material before each class, in order to participate actively.
