Albania
To matriculate you must submit your final high school diploma (Diplome e Matures Shteterore) and certificate confirming the average grade obtained.
Attention: the average grade must currently allow access to university courses in Albania, regardless of the year in which it was obtained. For now in Albania a minimum average of 6.5 is required, calculated on the basis of the final marks of the subjects for each school year and of the state final exams.
Certificates must be translated and supported by confirmation of authenticity and documents concerning their value.

China
To matriculate you must submit the final secondary school diploma (Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu) and the certificate attesting the passing of the local Gao Kao exams.
Certificates must be translated and supported by confirmation of authenticity and documents concerning their value. For the purpose of confirming authenticity, you may provide Verification Reports issued by CHESICC.
Cameroon
To matriculate you must submit the final secondary school diploma: Baccalauréat, Baccalauréat Technique or General Certificate of Education (with at least 2 Advanced Level subjects and 4 Ordinary Level subjects passed).
The diploma must be supported by confirmation of authenticity and documents concerning its value.

International Baccalaureate (IB)
To matriculate you must submit an International Baccalaureate Diploma obtained from schools accredited by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization).
The diploma must be obtained in compliance with all the requirements of the IB Diploma Programme. Incomplete diploma certificates, IB certificates or single subjects passed within the IB system are not accepted.
You must request the IBO to send your diploma scores online to the University of Bologna or, alternatively, provide confirmation of authenticity of the diploma.
No further documents concerning the value of the qualification are required.
In the event that the IB Diploma was awarded after 11 years of schooling, you must refer to the information on the page Enrolling in a first cycle or single cycle degree programme - foreign qualification for integrating the diploma.
United Kingdom (UK)
To matriculate you must submit a General Certificate of Education (GCE) or an International General Certificate of Education (IGCE) and you must demonstrate that you have successfully passed at least three subjects at advanced level (A-levels) related to the university degree programme you want to enrol in. Qualifications must be issued by official UK awarding bodies. For more information, see Annex 1 to the Ministerial Memo for a.y. 2024/25 (in Italian).
The diplomas must be supported by confirmation of authenticity. For A-levels certified by Cambridge Assessment, you can make a request to Cambridge Assessment to send the official results online to the University of Bologna.
No further documents concerning the value of the qualification are required.
Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Levels are not considered a valid qualification for admission to a degree programme, even if integrated by Foundation courses or university studies.

United States of America (USA)
To matriculate you must submit a U.S. High School Diploma awarded following a final period of at least two years of successful attendance in a foreign educational system. You must also demonstrate that you have passed at least three "Advanced Placements" (APs) with a score from 3 to 5, in subjects that are different from each other and related to the university degree programme you want to enrol in. Remember that APs are the only CollegeBoard accredited courses. For the purpose of verifying authenticity, you must ask CollegeBoard to send the official results of the APs to the University of Bologna (code 6993). For more information, see Annex 1 to the Ministerial Memo for a.y. 2024/25 (in Italian).
The High School Diploma must be supported by confirmation of authenticity and documents concerning its value.

Turkey
To matriculate you must submit the final high school diploma (Lise Diplomasi) and the certificate confirming that you have passed the local YKS entrance exams, with a score that allows access to university courses in Turkey.
Certificates must be translated and supported by confirmation of authenticity and documents concerning its value.

West African Examination Council (WAEC)
To matriculate you must submit a West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) awarded in one of the countries where it is available (e.g. Ghana, Gambia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia). For the purpose of confirming authenticity of the diploma, you can ask the International Desk to verify your diploma online. You must provide a scratch card to use on WAEC websites and a copy of your diploma or its relevant data (Examination number, session, year).
The WASSCE must be passed with the minimum grades and number of subjects required to access university studies in the country where it was obtained. Contact the International Desk for an evaluation.
The WASSCE must be supported by documents concerning its value.
Italian schools abroad
If you have a 5-year or 4-year Italian secondary school diploma received from an Italian school abroad, for admission to restricted access degree programmes delivered both in Italian and English, you must compete with EU and non-EU equivalent students.
If you are a non-EU student residing abroad, to participate in the selections you must:
- submit your diploma or, if you have not yet obtained it, a certificate of enrolment, according to the procedures and within the deadlines for the Italian language requirement, even if you do not have to meet it because you want to enrol in a degree programme delivered in English;
- in the application for admission to the selection on Studenti Online you must declare that you are a "non-EU citizen residing abroad who must compete with EU candidates".
