Learning outcomes
Students possess in-depth knowledge of the history and development of non-European literatures in the French language, particularly North American Francophonie, with an approach that emphasises the relationship between literary texts and their historical, artistic, and linguistic contexts. They have high-level competence in understanding and critically analysing the cultural specificities of the geographical areas they study, as well as the political, intercultural, and ideological dynamics that contribute to the high degree of multilingualism in these regions. They are familiar with and able to apply practical methodologies for the analysis and interpretation of literary texts. They are capable of producing complex analyses and formulating independent reflections on specific research topics.
