Learning outcomes
To provide a comparative analysis of the dynamics of economic development in the different regions of the world. To introduce the keywords to understand the state of the present economy: development and underdevelopment, colonialism and dependency, globalization, aid to development, poverty, inequality, sustainability, the role of the State and the transition to the market.
Course contents
The course is divided in three section to facilitate students
with different curricula. The whole course is 9 ECTS. Those who
need 3 ECTS can take Section 1 only; those who need 6 ECTS can take
Sections 1 and 2. The course is co-taught by Prof. Paolo
Figini and Prof. Anna Montini, with the help of the
tutor, Mr. Marco D'Errico.

Assessment methods
There are no mid term assessments. The exams is composed by three
open questions to be answered in one hour.
Those who take only Section 1 have to answer only to questions related to Section 1. Those who take only Section 1 and 2 have to answer only to questions related to Section 1 and 2.
