Admission requirements
Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the possession of the prescribed curricular requirements and to the passing of a test to assess the students' personal competencies and skills.
Curricular requirements:
To be able to profitably follow the 2nd cycle degree programme in Management of the Social Economy students must possess the following knowledge:
-knowledge of business, economics, law, mathematics and statistics;
-knowledge of the English language (level B2).
Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is also subject to the possession of the following curricular requirements:
1.A 1st cycle degree in one of the following classes, or other suitable qualification obtained abroad:
-ex Italian Ministerial Decree 270: a 1st cycle degree in classes L-18 Economic and Business Management Sciences, L-33 Economic Sciences;
-ex. Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/99: a 1st cycle degree in classes 17Economic and Business Management Sciences, 28 Economic Sciences;
-Previous four-year degree system: degree obtained from a Faculty of Economics.
- Three-year university diploma obtained from a Faculty of Economics.
-Other suitable qualification obtained abroad equivalent to a 1st cycle degree in economics/business studies.
or
2.At least 40 CFU in at least two of the following subject areas: business, economics, law, mathematics, statistics (subject areas laid down in D.M.270/04): in one of the following subject areas:

3.If the required degree certificate and/or above-mentioned credits have been obtained, admission to the 2nd Cycle Degree Programme is subject to the possession of a degree (obtained in Italy or abroad) with a final grade of at least 100/110 (for degrees obtained abroad, the corresponding grade as indicated in the declaration of value or calculated using the tables established by the MIUR or the diplomatic representations will be used) and the preliminary assessment by a Board to verify the required knowledge and competencies, through an interview and the evaluation of the candidates' curriculum.
The Board, appointed by the Degree Programme Board, will establish a calendar for the interviews, which will be published on the School website. If the Board considers the level of the candidates' knowledge and skills to be satisfactory, they will be allowed to enroll in a test to assess their personal competencies and skills.
Assessment of knowledge and language skills
Admission to the degree programme is subject to the assessment of knowledge and skills in he English language to level B2. Students holding a corresponding language certification may be exempted from sitting this exam.
The Degree Programme may require students to recover any initial deficit if they are assessed to below level B2 on admission. Students passing the English language test with a score of less than level B2 shall be required to pass a level B2 English language test prior to the submission of the dissertation.
Assessment of personal competencies and skills
Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the possession of the described curricular requirements and to the passing of a test to assess the students' personal competencies and skills, in one of the following ways:
a)1st cycle degree grade of at least 90/110. For degrees obtained abroad, the corresponding grade as indicated in the declaration of value or calculated using the tables established by the MIUR or the diplomatic representations will be used:
-For graduates in degree classes L-18 and L-33 (DM 270/04);
-For graduates in degree classes 17 and 28 (DM 509/99);
-For graduates of the previous degree system;
-For graduates holding qualifications obtained abroad equivalent to a 1st cycle degree in economics/business studies (as in point a) assessment of curricular requirements);
b)1st cycle degree grade of at least 90/110 for graduates in degrees other than those listed in point 1, other those with at least 40 CFU in the core subjects listed in point 2. Assessment of curricular requirements. For degrees obtained abroad, the corresponding grade as indicated in the declaration of value or calculated using the tables established by the MIUR or the diplomatic representations will be used;
c) Interview to assess personal competencies and skills for graduates listed in point 3. Assessment of curricular requirements, for graduates falling under point a) and b) with a grade of 90/110 or downwards. The individual interview will be conducted by the same Board appointed to assess the curricular requirements. The Board will set a calendar for interviews, which will be published on the School portal (www.ems.unibo.it).
The Degree Programme Board may evaluate positively passed the assessment of personal competencies and skills only if you present an old-system option claim, provided you have gained at least 6 credits in your university career hitherto.
Second Cycle Degree Programmes may include a specific session for international students, appointing a Board to assess personal competences and skills, compatibly with the schedule laid down in the call for applications for study grants (the deadline of which is indicatively in May).
