Since 2014, I have been a senior lecturer of Law & Economics, Non Profit Law and International Health Law at the University of Bologna (after lecturing at the University of Trento for almost 20 years)
My main research interests include:
1. public regulation of health and social care sectors
2. the supply of health and social services by non profit organisations
3. their relationships with public authorities
4. cross-border patient mobility and health tourism
5. Public-Private Partnerships, especially in health care services
I am involved in national and international research project concerning health and medical SPAs. I served as scientific consultant to the Italian Ministry of Health with respect to pharmacies and their legal framework. I have established co-operation projects with several European and international universities, institutions and organisations. I have published a significant number of papers, books and articles, both in English and German.
