On 2 May 2020, he was appointed as associate professor at the University of Bologna (Italy)
1990-1993: Ph.D. in Comparative Company Law at the Faculty of
Law, University of Cambridge (Hughes Hall College) (UK) under the supervision of
Professor L. Sealy. The Ph.D. thesis was mainly concerned with the
development of the different company forms in Europe and U.S.A.
over the nineteenth century up to mid-‘50s. In particular, the
thesis took into consideration the question of limited liability
and the role of the authorities of the State in economy. (The Ph.D.
was funded through one scholarship granted by the British Council
and one granted by the University of Padua)
22 September 1993: viva voce dissertation of the Ph.D. thesis at
the University of Cambridge.
1988/1989: working on the first degree thesis at the Faculty of
Law, University of Cambridge (UK), thanks to a scholarship granted
by the European Student Exchange Erasmus Programme.
28 February 1990: graduated from the Faculty of Political
Science at the University of Padua with the highest mark cum
laude, by submitting and discussing a thesis on “A legal and
historical comparison between Italian and British charities during
the period 1800-1942”.
He is currently Senior Lecturer of Law & Economics, Non Profit Law
and International Law & Health at the University of
