The 2ndcycle degree programme in Economics and Economic Policy aims to train highlyqualified professional economists who are able to cover positions ofresponsibility in a range of national and international appointments. Thegraduates' skills will allow them to work profitably in planning andorganisation, design and implementation of development plans, and assess thestrategic aspects of decision-making processes and their economic and financialimplications. The knowledge of economic phenomena and market laws, the abilityto relate macro- and micro-economic phenomena to each other and to applyeconomic analysis tools to interpret economic categories are the core skillsdeveloped by these graduates. The degree programme includes core course unitsproviding a solid grounding in economics and advanced competencies inquantitative methods for economic forecasting and economic-financial analysis.It also includes specific course units to develop specialist knowledge in thefields of industrial organisation, financial intermediation, economic andsocial policy.

For applicants failing to fulfil the requirements as in 1)and/or 2), the Admission Board willevaluate candidates' skills and competencies through an accurate examination oftheir curriculum.
1.2 Assessmentof knowledge and language skills
To be admitted applicants are required to hold an adequateproficiency of the English language (B1 level of the Common European Frameworkof Reference). To be admitted to HealthEconomics & Management applicants are required to hold an adequateproficiency of the English language (B2 level of the Common European Frameworkof Reference).
This proficiency must be proved by a language certificate or by aself-declaration.
Whethercandidates do not hold the necessary skills and competencies required to enrol,the Admission Board will not admit them to the assessment of their personal competenciesand skills.1.3 Assessment of personal competencies and skills
In addition to the above mentionedrequirements (degree, credits and English proficiency), the admission isconditional on the assessment of the personal qualification by the AdmissionBoard according to the following criteria:
· Academic merit (it refers to the duration and quality of degree course attended, to thefinal graduation score obtained, as well as to any additional Englishcompetence above the minimum levelrequired in point 5): max 70 points;
· Coherence between the academic curriculum and the learning objectives of the Masterin Health Economics & Management: max 20 points;
· Motivation (quality of the motivation letter and of any eventual presentation letter):max 10 points.
Only students who reach a minimum of60/100 points will be considered as holding a sufficient personalqualification.
Candidates who do not hold the requirements as specified in points1, 2 e 4 but who do reach a minimum of 60/100 in the assessment of the personal qualification will be invited by the Admissions Board for atest/interview, as described in the admissions notice, to verify if they haveacquired the basic knowledge required for admission to the 2nd cycle degreeprogramme in any other manner. Candidates will be called to the test/interviewby e-mail by the Chairman of the Admissions Board after the assessment ofpersonal competencies and skills.
