Daniela Iorio is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna. She is also a faculty member of the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute. She previously held academic positions at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and the University of Southern California. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
She works on Political Economy, Health Economics, and Family Economics. Her research has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, and the Journal of Health Economics.
She is the recipient of the Oliver E. Williamson Prize for Best Article in JLEO and the Rita Levi Montalcini Research Grant (MIUR), and currently serves as an Associate Editor of the European Economic Review.
