Function in a professional context:
A professional working in thecompany or on a freelance basis, supporting the company as a manager,accounting, administrative and legal consultant. They also manage problemsrelating to management control, marketing, programming, finance and relationswith banks.

- analyse and draft analyticalaccounts;
- draft financial statements;
- perform tax controls;
- draft management reports;
- analyse documents and reports;
- analyse and control economicand financial trends;
- monitor the assets andfinancial situation of the company, including the use of liquidity;
- cooperate in the supervision ofbusiness and production processes;

Specific knowledge and skills ineconomics and business, management, organisation, law, finance, accounting andauditing are required to perform the above functions. Business Economicsgraduates shall have in-depth knowledge of accounting and budget analysis; theyshall be familiar with modern management techniques and development strategiesfor the company's production processes; they shall have acquired competences inbusiness management, organisation and marketing alongside in-depth knowledge ofprivate, commercial and tax law.

Business Economics graduates canwork on a freelance basis as accounts experts and labour consultants. For thispurpose they must perform a traineeship and then sit the state exam to be ableto register with the related association. Similarly, after the traineeship theycan sit the exam to become a statutory auditor, undertaking the profession on afreelance basis or working for an auditing firm. Business Economics graduatesmay also continue their studies to second cycle level.
