Graduates will be able to perform the following professional roles and functions in the areas of employment here indicated:
Agronomist and Forester section B – junior agronomists and foresters
Functions:
- planning simple systems and cooperation in the planning of complex and interdisciplinary systems, as part of a team, in the agricultural, forestry and environmental sectors;
- carrying out actions to fight hydrogeologic risk, erosion and slope stabilisation;
- carrying out activities to defend and recover the agricultural and forestry ecosystems of a territory including the renaturalisation of hillsides and mountain areas, parks and protected areas;
- preservation and enhancement of vegetal and animal biodiversity and of the biodiversity of microorganisms;
- carrying out actions related to the restoration and preservation of rural areas including infrastructures;
- using and managing agricultural and forestry resources to plan and safeguard the territory and its forests;
- definition, use and management of hydraulic and mechanical systems in the production phases and in the conservation and preservation of agricultural and forestry areas;
- cadastral, cartographic and photogrammetric activities;
- evaluation of agro-territorial and forestry resources, estimation of technical means, systems and products of an agricultural and forestry interest;
- application of legal notions in the management of agricultural and forestry firms and in relationships with private persons, companies and bodies.
