Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide the student with the essential elements of the general theoretical and practical knowledge of the main primary and secondary diseases and syndromes involving, from a medical point of view, the respiratory system with the aim of providing the synthetic elements for: - a correct methodological and notional approach; - a characterization of the pathogenesis and of the histological-morphological picture; - the acquisition of clinical pictures and knowledge of prevention, differential diagnostics, clinical course, decision making and possible complications. At the end of the course the student will know the basic notions of the main pathologies of pulmonary interest and of the biochemical, instrumental and clinical investigations necessary for their diagnosis and hints of therapy. Thanks also to the participation in scheduled internships and monothematic elective courses, at the end of the course the student will have the theoretical-practical bases for recognizing the type of pathology by evaluating its symptoms, clinical signs, laboratory and instrumental tests.
