Learning outcomes

At the end of the laboratory students know the most important ICT; they are able to use ICT to find, assess, produce, present and exchange information and to communicate and participate to collaborative networks on Internet; they can analyze and evaluate critically tools and technologies for teaching and learning; they are able to use ICT for critical thinking, creativity and innovation; they are able to use ICT to design, document, monitor and assess didactical activities.

Course contents

Erasmus and exchange students are required to contact prof. Elena Pacetti (elena.pacetti@unibo.it) to verify the possibility to add this lab to their learning agreement.

The laboratory will aim to introduce tools and methods of daily work that stimulate the teacher's skills and that are an opportunity to offer an active and laboratory oriented way of teaching. In particular, some features of the e-learning platforms (Moodle and the Workspace Google for Edu) will be analyzed, as for example teacher-to-teacher or teacher-to-learner sharing tools, due to their importance in the context of integrated digital teaching and distance learning. Some softwares not usually used for educational purposes will be used as a support for school activities. Software will be in open source mode. It will also deal with concept maps through the use of dedicated software and teaching methodologies such as the Flipped Classroom and the Debate, from a peer education perspective. An important role will also be played by the knowledge of new learning environments beyond the classroom and of new teaching strategies in these new learning contexts.

Erasmus students can contact the teacher to get more information: labs are in Italian, so it is fundamental to have at least a level B1 in Italian. Each lab is 24 hours and you must attend all lectures (only 25% of absence, so 6 hours).

It is MANDATORY to be present during the first meeting of the lab, otherwise students will be excluded from the lab itself.

Important information

The workshop, which lasts 24 hours in presence, is compulsory attendance: a maximum of 6 hours of absence is only allowed for serious and justified reasons (illness, with medical certificate; overlapping with other compulsory training activities, by sending an email to both the activity contact persons; etc.);
the workshop provides for the award of 3 training credits (CFU). Please note that each credit is worth 25 hours and that, therefore, in addition to the 24 hours of attendance there are a further 51 hours of individual work at home; students who register for the workshop occupy a place and must necessarily cancel before the start of the workshop if they do not intend to attend, so that the place can be vacated; in the event of absence from the first laboratory lesson, the student must notify the lecturer by e-mail of the reason at least one week before the start of the lessons, on pain of being excluded from the laboratory.

Teaching methods

The course is organized in laboratory mode and includes both practical tests evaluated by the teacher during each meeting, and tests and/or essays to be submitted to the teacher at the end of the laboratory.

We will work individually (research and implementation of teaching materials and concept maps) and in small groups to produce a teaching unit.

Laboratorio di Innovazione didattica e tecnologie educative (code 93608): The assessment is in 30/30 and the lab is integrated to the course Innovazione didattica e tecnologie educative.

Laboratorio di Tecnologie didattiche (code 68014): This Laboratory does not have grade, but "idoneità" (pass/fail evaluation).

The lab is made of 3 ECTS: there are 24 hours in presence (8 hours for each ECTS) and 51 hours of individual study (each ECTS is 25 hours).

To get the final evaluation students must attend all 24 hours (with active participation) and provide all assignments request.

Assessment methods

To obtain eligibility, students must hand in all partial exercises and the final exercise.

Please note that each 3 CFU lab comprises 24 hours of in-person teaching (8 hours per CFU) and 51 hours of individual study (each CFU is 25 hours in total). Therefore, it will not be sufficient to attend the lab to obtain the assessment, instead it will be necessary to do all the required exercises.

At the end of the workshop, the evaluation will be expressed as an aptitude. In order to obtain the aptitude, the student must attend the lectures and actively participate in the activities proposed in presence; deliver all the required exercises respecting the deadlines.

Teaching tools

Lectures are usually in the computer lab with pc and interactive whiteboard.

It is recommended to have a pc/laptop for the assignments to be done at home.
