Learning outcomes
The student, upon completion of the course, possesses the knowledge for the evaluation and classification of difficult lesions secondary to pathological processes or organic decay and approaches for local and systemic treatment.
Course contents
At the end of the lectures, the student will possess the knowledge to make an assessment regarding the possibility of developing skin lesions in patients at risk and subsequent treatment of the same, making use of nursing tools for care planning inherent to Wound Care. The knowledge provided during the lectures will be able to offer skills to identify and use the appropriate tools for the prevention and treatment of skin injuries, not neglecting the humanistic aspect, one of the cardinal principles of the nursing profession.
- Classroom contract;
- Nursing consultation in the management of pressure injuries (LDP) and vascular injuries;
- Relevant regulations regarding Nursing Responsibility in the management, treatment and care of injuries by virtue of Nursing - - Sensitive Outcome indicators in order to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions;
- Classification and staging of wounds, as well as related ad hoc rating scales;
- Emilia Romagna Region Guide to the Appropriate Choice of Dressing Devices in the Management of Cutaneous Injuries;
- Management of Nonhealing Skin Injuries;
- Skin Tear;
- Dermatitis Associated with Incontinence;
- Management of difficult surgical wounds using advanced negative pressure dressing;
- The importance of therapeutic education to the pc and/or caregiver for the prevention of skin injury in at-risk patients;
- Management of painful skin injuries; Humanization of care - before the skin injury there is the person
