81281 - Neurobiology and Animal Models of Neurological Diseases

Academic Year 2023/2024

  • Moduli: Luciana Giardino (Modulo 1) Luca Lorenzini (Modulo 2)
  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures (Modulo 1) Traditional lectures (Modulo 2)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Animal Biotechnology (cod. 8522)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will know the basic principles of anatomy and function of the nervous system, with particular reference to the molecular mechanisms of synaptic transmission and neuronal trophism; will know the main mechanisms of reaction to noxious detrimental to the different cell populations of the Nervous System; will be able to read critically the literature relating to the models in vitro and in vivo of diseases of the nervous system, including the demanza's disease.
