Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student knows the definition, type, location of the lesion and classification of the aphasia. He is able to plan the care of the aphasic adult starting from the assessment of the characteristics of language and any associated impairments up to the rehabilitation treatment of aphasia with the possible use of aids and aids.

Course contents

Educational program

1° Definition of aphasia / aphasic patient - Aphasia classification - Theoretical reference categories of rehabilitation methods.

2 ° Aphasia guidelines - Cognitive processing of word production - The mechanisms of the semantic / lexical system and those of sublexical conversion

3 ° Communication - Relational strategies - Logopedic rehabilitation treatment

4° Logopedic rehabilitation treatment - practical exercises-discussions of clinical cases
