Course contents

Communication is giving and receiving, it is participation, it is dialogue, it is interaction, it is relationship. Communication is expressing oneself and at the same time listening together.

Communication, therefore, is never a single gesture, but always shared between two or more people. Not only is it therefore not possible not to communicate at all, but it is not possible to do it well if you do it alone.

To communicate is to "give oneself", putting one's "I" in the background and putting the other at the centre. To communicate is to take care of each other if we break it down we get the word "care" which in English means "to cure".

In communicating we express verbal content, accompanied by an emotional aspect, which is manifested through gestures, muscle tone, tone of voice, gaze, our attitude

  • The lectures involve close interaction between the lecturer and the students and are organised in such a way as to best represent the situation in which the midwife finds herself during the performance of her profession.
