Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to convey to the student the basic knowledge and the main tools of fund raising for nonprofit organizations. At the end of the course the student is able to: - know and apply strategies, tools, methodologies of fund raising - analyze and use the different techniques to ensure economic sustainability, organizational and strategic nonprofit companies; - to develop a critical vision on the topic.

 

Course contents

The course focuses on fundraising for non profit organizations (NPOs) and aims to provide an overview of models and techniques for fundraising in NPOs and to present the main approaches adopted by management to develop effective fundraising strategies and to ensure their effective implementation.

Teaching methods

The course program is deepened by a mixed method:

  • Lectures with examples and cases;
  • Discussion of case studies with group work;
  • Fundraisers testimonials;
  • Project work
  • Classroom exercises.

Assessment methods

The final exam is made of 2 parts:  

  • Project work (Mandatory) - 20%
  • Oral exam (Mandatory) - 80%
